Matt Payne carries a 120-point lead over Broc Feeney into the Bathurst 1000. Twenty-nine races down, eight to go, and the top ten after Bathurst go into the Finals.

The season runs in three phases. Nine Sprint Cup rounds, two endurance races where drivers share a car, then three Finals rounds where the top ten after Bathurst are cut to seven, then four, and points reset every round.
